INNOVATIONS CELEBRATES 50 YEARS

Luxury Wallcovering Brand Invests in the Future

New York, NY – March 2025 – Innovations turns 50 this year. The luxury wallcovering company, founded in 1975, will

celebrate this incredible milestone throughout the year at all major industry events, including NeoCon, BDNY, NYCxDESIGN,

and Design Chicago. The brand has adopted an anniversary logo and will release special promotional items to tell their story.

“I started my company because, as a designer, the products I needed weren’t available in the market,” said Rudy Mayer,

founder of Innovations. “It’s incredible how far we’ve come; I’m proud to see my children involved in the company and

building on what I started.”

As part of the fiftieth anniversary celebration, Innovations is investing in the future. The son of founder Rudy Mayer, Alex Mayer,

is making his mark with company-wide improvements like a new operating system, new website, and redesigned showrooms

to reestablish and reposition the brand for the next fifty years.

“Rudy [my father] named his company ‘Innovations’ for a reason,” said President Alex Mayer, representing the second

generation of leadership. “We are a design-driven company. We are committed to developing new materials and

techniques—but also to the designer experience. The long-term investments we’re making are ultimately for our clients, for

designers.”

Innovations will kick off the fiftieth anniversary celebration at NeoCon in their redesigned Chicago showroom. Designers

can expect to see a new Innovations website as well as other anniversary events and promotions teased on social media

throughout the year.
