New York, NY – April 2026 – Innovations introduces Torino, a striking four-panel mural that evokes the earthy richness of harvest fields through layered texture and light. Inspired by Demeter, the Greek goddess of grain, Torino captures a sense of grounded elegance, where towering grasses emerge as both organic forms and refined surface pattern.
Torino’s design is brought to life through a combination of etching and laser cutting on wood veneer. The natural grain of the veneer introduces subtle tonal variation, with linear striations that enhance the depth and character of the surface. The etched surface softly marks the veneer with a warm brown tone, while precision laser cutting reveals a metallic foil backing beneath. This interplay between matte wood and reflective metal introduces a subtle luminosity, allowing the pattern to catch and reflect light with a soft, natural shimmer. The gilded metallic accents evoke the glow of ripened wheat, recalling the richness and warmth of harvest fields.
Torino’s ascending vertical composition emphasizes height and openness, with each grass form reaching upward in a rhythmic, organic cadence.
